Stretton Health Equity in conjunction with the Environment Institute invite you to attend the seminar 'Exiting the consumptogenic system' with guest speaker Professor Sharon Friel, Australian National University.

Professor Friel's presentation will be followed by a panel discussion with Dr Ariella Helfgott, Director Strategic Foresight, Department of the Premier and Cabinet and Professor Melissa Nursey-Bray, School of Social Sciences, University of Adelaide. The event will be chaired by Professor Fran Baum, Director, Stretton Health Equity, University of Adelaide.

Prof Sharon Friel is an ARC Laureate Fellow, Prof of Health Equity and Director of the Australian Research Centre for Health Equity, the School of Regulation & Global Governance (RegNet), Australian National University. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences Australia and co-Director of the NHMRC Centre for Research Excellence in the Social Determinants of Health Equity.

Prof. Fran Baum AO is a professor of health equity at The Stretton Institute, The University of Adelaide, Australia. She is a public health social scientist with a special interest in creating healthy, equitable and sustainable societies. Fran is an activist academic who advocates for a fairer, more sustainable and healthy world.
