Episode 34 of the Saving the World webinar series features Erinch Sahan discussing how to transform businesses for planetary health equity.

Erinch Sahan has spent his career exploring what needs to change for businesses and investors to help address the world's social and ecological crises. Through efforts to work with governments, business leaders, consumer groups and investor networks, he has discovered the need to transform the deep design of business and finance itself.

In this webinar, Erinch will share his journey across these approaches and the lessons he has learned about unlocking the transformations our society and planet urgently need from the world of business.

Erinch is a cross-sector leader with 20 years of experience driving business transformation. He currently directs the investments of the Joseph Rowntree Foundation’s £400 million endowment to support an equitable and just future. Previously, he led the business theme at the Doughnut Economics Action Lab and served as CEO of the World Fair Trade Organization. He’s led campaigns and teams at Oxfam, AusAID and Procter & Gamble. He teaches sustainability at the University of Cambridge and serves on various boards (including Finance Innovation Lab). Erinch is a TEDx speaker and co-author of the book: Doughnut Economics for Regenerative Business Design.

The ‘Saving the World’ webinar series, presented by the Planetary Health Equity Hothouse, releases a new episode each month, discussing the intersections between climate change, inequity and human health. The webinars focus on actions that enable transformative change away from the harmful consumptogenic system to systems that promote good health, social equity and environmental wellbeing.
